This course teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges, provide initial support, and guide individuals toward appropriate professional help and resources. Through interactive discussion and scenario-based activities, participants learn practical strategies to respond to mental health crises such as anxiety, depression, substance use, and suicidal thoughts. Designed for all community members, this training builds confidence and skills to promote mental well-being in the workplace, schools, and everyday life. This course is designed for individual self care and to support others facing challenges with mental health. This course is taught by Tracy Hazel, "517 Safety Guru" an OSHA Outreach and American Red Cross Instructor. Tracy is a local business owner, Advanced Training and Consulting LLC., and is the former Regional Director for Health and Safety at the American Red Cross. Certificates of completion will be issued via email after the course is completed. This is appropriate for ages 16 - adult.
